my orange trees bears fruit every year, big and juicy, not very acidity but the sweetness is not there. I have been told to fertilize more and add lime to increase the sweetness to the orange. Is this true? They get plenty of water. Any suggestions??

water in some mycorhizzae, add some mulch, a few inches of mature compost and a sprinkling of rock dust and most importantly sow the understory with rhyzobium innoculated legumes and let nature feed the tree
with a natural system in place you should not have to do too much watering, less water = more pungent oranges
